2 week residency in Durness, Sutherland, working in their digital studio. Make virtual landscapes of the area for their web site and work with the Primary school on a video projection of all the children which we used over the outside of their village hall before their Xmas show and party. December Weekend video workshop with young people in An Tuerrean, Portree, Skye. November Video project with all the children of Melvich Primary School, Sutherland on the bio-diversity of the sea. We make a video called "The Fish Says Goodbye" May -October New Dynamics Highland Council Project in Thurso, video artist working with young people. Various workshops leads us to preparing video for projection onto important sites around Caithness. Midsummer night we project images of the local windmills onto the nuclear reactor at Dounreay and at the Autumn equinox we project Dounreay onto the windmills. Summer Arts.S-Inc commisioned video artist in Farr Secondary School, Bettyhill, Sutherland working with upper secondary pupils. We make a film exploring the exam structure through the inventing of a new subject, the laungage of sheep -Baa. Summer Term St Magnus Festival, Orkney. Commissioned to fill with video images, the performance space of 'Notes in Time of War', a show about the diaries of children from war zones around the world and performed by 110 children from Orkney primary schools. June The Street Looks at the City: a video project commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery, Edindurgh. Working with the homeless in collaberation with the Ark drop in centre, we project large video portraits onto the outside of the National Gallery, Queen Street, Edinburgh. February. |
